About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you provide friendly, professional customer service and help customers find products and services for their home improvement needs. You welcome customers, answer questions, help them locate and select merchandise, and guide them through shopping or checkout. The role also involves organizing and replenishing merchandise, processing orders and deliveries, and occasionally loading merchandise. Daily responsibilities vary by department, which may include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Associates may prepare merchandise to meet customer needs, such as tinting or mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, or cutting blinds. The position may require occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Work environments vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor conditions, changing weather and temperatures, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines and use powered equipment only as required and with proper training or assistance.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or lift more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Follow lifting guidelines that limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

- Complete other duties as assigned.
