About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, maintenance, photo services, and web pickup orders. Associates comply with company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions to support a positive customer experience.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend items for sale, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases; collect cash and distribute change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separating food items and placing products according to policies and procedures.
Assist with stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs for consumable items.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo product suggestions.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick the items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by a manager or assigned by corporate.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
