Retail Sales – Part Time
About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you welcome customers and help them find the products and services they need for home improvement projects. You listen to customers, answer questions, help them locate and select merchandise, and ensure their needs are met. You may occasionally load merchandise and prepare products based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, or cutting wood, drywall, or blinds. Associates work in a department assigned according to store hiring needs and individual skillsets. Possible departments include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, and Pro Services. The role involves organizing and replenishing merchandise, processing orders and deliveries, assisting with shopping or checkout, and cross-training in other store areas. Working conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather, varying temperatures and moisture, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed, though regular travel is not required.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or lift more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Follow lifting guidelines that limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

- Perform other duties as assigned.
