About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience and registers sales at an assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, asset protection, product handling, photo services, web pickup, store maintenance, and completion of assigned training and tasks.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred, except in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits, proactively offering help, identifying customer needs, and assisting until customers are satisfied.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as directed.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws concerning regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with food separation and product placement according to policies and procedures; rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out practices and restock outs.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and promotional photo-product suggestions.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders in Picture Care Plus and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
