About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. The role registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. It also supports store operations, merchandising, product handling, maintenance, photo services, and online order pickup, while following company policies and procedures. The associate attends training and completes assigned learning activities. The position is temporary and requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, and recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Process customer purchases, collect payments, provide change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separating food items and placing products according to policies and procedures.
Assist with stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs for consumable items.
Use store systems and equipment with working knowledge.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo-product suggestions.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store areas.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
