About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience and registers sales at an assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, maintenance, photo services, and online order pickup. The position is temporary.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance that addresses customer needs.
• Provide fast, efficient, friendly service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
• Register purchases, collect cash, provide change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory, maintain records, check in merchandise, and price items as directed.
• Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Separate and place food products according to policies and procedures; rotate consumables using first in, first out and restock outs.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotion of photo products.
• Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Help maintain a clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store appearance.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
