About The Position

ZED Electric, a well-established electrical service company in San Diego since 1995, is seeking a Customer Service Associate (CSR) to join their growing team. This on-site, full-time role is crucial as the first point of contact for customers, providing essential support to both the office and operations team. The CSR will handle inbound calls, schedule appointments, follow up with customers, and manage daily office operations, working closely with the Operations Manager. This customer-facing role emphasizes communication, organization, responsiveness, and follow-through, ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years in customer service, call center, or office role
  • Strong phone communication skills
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy (iPhone, Google Workspace, CRM/software systems)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in home services (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is a plus
  • ServiceTitan experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Assist customers with service requests and questions
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience on every interaction
  • Schedule service appointments accurately using company software
  • Gather and enter complete customer information
  • Coordinate with the operations team to support daily workflow
  • Follow up with customers on open or unsold estimates
  • Re-engage customers to schedule service
  • Help convert opportunities into booked jobs
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices
  • Communicate professionally to resolve payment issues and customer follow-through
  • Maintain accurate customer records and job notes
  • Assist with general office coordination and tasks as needed
