About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you combine strong customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping. You welcome customers, help them find products and services for home improvement projects, answer questions, and guide them through shopping or checkout. You will spend much of your time listening to customers, assisting with product selection, and organizing merchandise; daily responsibilities vary by department. Associates may work in Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. The role may involve occasional merchandise loading, product preparation, order and delivery processing, and cross-functional training in other store areas. The work environment may include indoor and outdoor conditions, varying climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Travel is not regularly required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or over 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Follow lifting guidelines that limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to support customer service.
Prepare merchandise for customers based on department needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, or cutting blinds.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
