About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience while registering sales on an assigned cash register and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The associate assists customers and patients, answers questions, resolves issues, recommends products, and supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, maintenance, and photo services. The role also includes completing training and other assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
• Provide fast, friendly, and efficient checkout service; register purchases, collect cash, provide change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommend items for sale, trade-up items, and companion products.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
• Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws concerning regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with food separation and product placement according to policy; rotate consumable stock using first in, first out and restock outs.
• Use store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo-product suggestions.
• Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
