About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience and operates an assigned cash register to provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role supports customers throughout the store, handles sales and returns, maintains merchandise and displays, follows asset protection and product-handling procedures, and assists with photo services and online order pickup. The associate also maintains the store’s appearance, follows company policies, and completes training and other assignments as directed.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
Provide fast, courteous, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate the assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory, maintain records, and check in and price merchandise as directed.
Follow company asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sales displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate and place food products according to policies and procedures; assist with stock rotation using first in, first out, and restock outs for consumable items.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo product suggestions.
Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly store interior and exterior.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
