Customer Service Associate (Pool & Spa Retail)
About The Position
This position reports directly to the Store Manager and is responsible for keeping the store clean, performing water testing, operating point-of-sale machines, assisting customers to ensure the best experience, and periodically cleaning, servicing, and chemically treating customer pools in accordance with maintenance contracts. Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods, bend, stoop, stretch, and climb repetitively.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and near swimming pools.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling pool equipment and chemicals as required.
- Work weekends and some holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Retail experience preferred; we’ll train pool/water testing.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers upon entering the store.
- Perform water testing for customers.
- Answer phones and report all stock/ supply shortages.
- Ensure store is always clean; straighten and dust shelves, keep displays and counter areas clean.
- Clean, service, and chemically treat pools using assigned pool cleaning equipment, chemicals, and an employer-provided pick-up truck.
- Follow up with customers to secure new maintenance accounts.
- Regularly inspect and maintain pool equipment and systems.
- Follow all safety standards and guidelines when working near and around swimming pools, including handling pool chemicals.
- Other duties, as assigned.
