About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience for customers. The role involves assisting customers, operating an assigned cash register, maintaining cash security and protecting company assets, keeping merchandise stocked and recovered, and helping receive and unload deliveries. Associates are expected to maintain a safe, respectful, clean, and presentable store environment, interact professionally and courteously with customers and coworkers, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Help ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
