About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience and registers sales on an assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role engages customers and patients, offers assistance with products and services, resolves issues, and answers questions. It also models customer-service best practices and Walgreens service traits, such as greeting customers, identifying needs, proactively offering help, and assisting until customers are satisfied. The associate provides efficient service, recommends items and companion or trade-up products, processes purchases and transactions including voids, returns, refunds, exchanges, and rain checks, and handles cash and change. Store duties include maintaining clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves; taking inventory and maintaining records; checking in and pricing merchandise; constructing and maintaining displays; completing resets; assisting with food separation, product placement, stock rotation, and restocking; and implementing asset-protection procedures. The role also involves compliance with laws concerning regulated products, using store systems and equipment, providing photo-area services, fulfilling web pickup orders, and maintaining the store’s interior and exterior appearance. The associate complies with company policies and procedures, maintains respectful coworker relationships, completes assigned tasks and special assignments, and attends training and completes requested or assigned PPLs. This is a temporary role requiring a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The position remains open until filled. Requirements

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Model and deliver a distinctive, delightful customer experience and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Greet and assist customers and patients with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions.
Model customer-service best practices, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactively offering help, identifying needs, and assisting until customers are satisfied.
Recommend sale items, trade-up items, and companion items.
Register purchases; collect cash and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Implement company asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separation and placement of food items according to policies and procedures; rotate consumable stock using first in, first out and restock outs.
Use store systems and store equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, orderly, and presentable.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
