About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience and handles customer checkout in a courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient manner. The role supports store operations, customer service across store areas, merchandising, inventory, maintenance, and training. The position is temporary and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
• Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service, recommend products and companion or trade-up items, and process customer transactions.
• Operate an assigned cash register; collect payments and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory, maintain records, check in merchandise, and price products as directed.
• Follow asset-protection procedures and comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with food separation and product placement according to policy; rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out practices and restock outs.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and promotion of photo products.
• Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders, including selecting items and delivering orders to customers at the store.
• Help maintain clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
• Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
