About The Position

The Customer Support Associate is responsible for the order-entry process for our customers, which includes interacting with customers by email and telephone. The Customer Support Associate manages the “order to invoice” process ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the order and the effective communication with the external customer and internal sales associate. In addition to order entry, this position will also directly provide support to sales with maintaining overall account performance as well as Sample requests. This position will have a target of 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime. This position is based in our Secaucus, New Jersey warehouse (on-site).

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years general customer account support experience preferred
  • Friendly, positive demeanor with ability to handle fast paced and time sensitive tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills related to data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • HIGH level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ERP and CRM platforms a plus.
  • Passion for cheese and specialty foods a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Processes orders received through inbound phone calls and email correspondence with efficiency and accuracy
  • Enters, maintains, and tracks customer orders in the Company’s ERP system
  • Represents the Company in all customer interactions with a positive and friendly demeanor
  • Provides follow-up support for orders processed, communicating out of stocks, ETA’s and alternative products
  • Coordinates with Sales Rep / Account Manager around order-entry and new business opportunities
  • Responsible for creating and completing customer New Item Setup forms
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting around potential delivery or order issues
  • Communicates with warehouse team appropriately to convey any delivery or product issues
  • Maintains up to date account information (customer relationship management)
  • General knowledge of product assortment
  • Carries out any additional duties that may be assigned or requested.
