About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Registers sales at an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, photo services, online order pickup, and store maintenance. Associates comply with company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete assigned training and other tasks.

Requirements

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interactions, proactively offering help, identifying needs, and assisting customers until satisfied.
Provide fast, courteous, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate an assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and comply with state and local laws for regulated products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and recommendations for promotional photo products.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders, select items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by a manager or assigned by corporate.
