About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. This temporary role includes customer service, sales, store operations, photo services, web pickup, maintenance, and required training. The role requires fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. The position will remain open until filled.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance to meet customer needs.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate the assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store management or the shift leader.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss and comply with laws governing regulated products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and other displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo product recommendations.
Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, orderly, and presentable.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
