About The Position
The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience while registering sales and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role serves customers and patients, answers questions, resolves issues, recommends products, and supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, and maintenance. The associate may provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and promotional photo products, and handle web pickup orders. The role also includes required training and completion of assigned learning activities.
Requirements
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, answer questions, and resolve issues.
- Model and share customer-service best practices and Walgreens service traits with team members.
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
- Register customer purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, maintain records, and check in and price merchandise.
- Follow company asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with food separation and product placement according to policy, rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out methods, and restock outs.
- Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative-machine services, and promotion of photo products.
- Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
- Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
