About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Operates an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandise presentation and inventory, asset protection, regulatory compliance, photo services, web pickups, and store maintenance. Associates complete training and other assignments as directed.

Requirements

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactively identifying and meeting customer needs.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate the cash register; collect payments and provide change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws for regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete assigned training, including requested or assigned PPLs, and other special assignments and tasks.
