About The Position

The Customer Service Associate delivers a distinctive, friendly, and efficient customer experience while operating a cash register and assisting customers with products and services. The role includes checkout and sales support, merchandising, inventory, store maintenance, asset protection, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The associate also provides photo-area services and handles web pickup orders. The position is temporary and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to support a positive customer experience.
Demonstrate customer-service best practices, including courteous interactions, proactive assistance, identifying needs, and serving customers until satisfied.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
Operate an assigned cash register; process purchases, collect cash, provide change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed.
Follow asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws governing regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using first-in, first-out practices and restock out-of-stock items.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo-product recommendations.
Monitor and fulfill web pickup orders, including picking items and delivering orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain a clean, neat, and orderly store interior and exterior.
Follow company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete training, requested PPLs, special assignments, and other assigned tasks.
