About The Position

The Customer Service Associate models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. The role registers sales at an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. It also supports store operations, merchandising, inventory, asset protection, regulated-product compliance, photo services, online order pickup, and store cleanliness. The associate attends training and completes assigned learning activities.

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
• Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactive assistance.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; recommend products, trade-up items, and companion items.
• Register purchases, collect cash, provide change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory, maintain records, check in merchandise, and price items as directed.
• Follow company asset-protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Follow state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with food separation and product placement according to policy; rotate consumable stock using first in, first out, and restock outs.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, use of the creative machine, and promotional photo-product recommendations.
• Monitor and fill web pickup orders and deliver them to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly interior and exterior store.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or assigned by corporate.
