About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive customer experience while providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The associate operates an assigned cash register and supports customers with products and services, including in the photo area and through web pickup. The role also helps maintain merchandise, displays, inventory, and a clean, orderly store, while following company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer-service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactively identifying and meeting customer needs.
Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service; recommend items, trade-up options, and companion products.
Register purchases, collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store leadership.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws concerning regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Assist with stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock out-of-stock consumable items.
Use store systems and equipment; provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine services, and promotional photo-product recommendations.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain a clean, neat, orderly store interior and exterior.
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete assigned PPLs.
