About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Registers sales on an assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. The role also supports store operations, merchandising, asset protection, photo services, online order pickup, and store maintenance. Employees comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. This is a temporary role. The position remains open until filled.

Requirements

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve customer issues, and answer questions.
Model and share customer service best practices, including courteous interpersonal habits and proactively identifying and meeting customer needs.
Provide fast, courteous, friendly, and efficient service; recommend items, trade-up options, and companion products.
Operate an assigned cash register; collect cash and distribute change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as directed by store management or shift leaders.
Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super-structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Separate food items and place products according to applicable policies and procedures.
Rotate consumable stock using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs.
Use store systems and equipment.
Provide photo-area customer service, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative-machine services, and promotional photo-product recommendations.
Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by a manager or assigned by corporate.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
