About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and helps provide a positive shopping experience. The role includes answering questions and making recommendations, processing sales at an assigned cash register, protecting cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries and unloading trucks, and replenishing stock to productivity standards. Associates are also responsible for maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional interactions with customers, coworkers, and leaders. The position includes keeping the store clean and presentable, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
• Ability to meet demands involving frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at an assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
