About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and supports store operations to deliver a positive shopping experience. The role includes operating an assigned cash register, handling cash securely, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, helping unload trucks, and replenishing stock according to productivity standards. Associates also maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and keep the store clean, including bathrooms and sales-floor areas. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet demands involving frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions at an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
