The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity that has been operating for nearly 150 years, providing care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need in communities across Ontario. This Customer Services Assistant (CSA) position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, which supports youth aged 15 to 30 by providing paid summer work experience and opportunities to develop skills for the job market. The CSA is responsible for day-to-day interactions with the public, including customer service, telephone reception, managing the centre email, foster and volunteer coordination, social media, adoption procedures, cash handling, and donation processing. They are considered a centre expert in applying Meet Your Match principles for all adoptions and ensure the adoption process runs effectively, providing superb customer service to the public, including donors and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with the Centre’s policies and procedures.
