About The Position

The Customer Service Advisor (CSA) is responsible for providing excellent customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and performing account transactions. CSAs must be responsive to the immediate needs of the Banking Center, proactively providing support to both Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and the sales platform. The role involves building consumer and business relationships, promoting the Bank's products and services, and ensuring compliance with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures. Responsibilities include operating as a CSR, opening new deposit accounts, and connecting with customers to understand their needs and make recommendations. Additionally, the CSA is expected to initiate outbound calls for customer onboarding, prospecting new retail customers, and promoting bank products to new and existing retail banking relationships. Participation in community service opportunities may also be involved.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Cash Handling, Sales, and Customer Service experience required.
  • Ability to effectively interact and build positive customer relationships.
  • Ability to clearly express concepts, ideas, and product information verbally and in writing.
  • Strong product knowledge for selling and promoting products.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
  • Sound mathematical and analytical skills preferred.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Maintain prescribed security controls to protect self and the banking center against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risks or exposures.
  • Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all sensitive information and customer business confidential and in a secured location.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations, including customer service, opening/closing procedures, vault duties, cash levels, inventory, and audit/compliance requirements.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Provide service to customers on various banking matters, explaining products and resolving problems.
  • Build successful working relationships with internal business partners.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Maintain prescribed security controls to protect against criminal and fraudulent operations.
