About The Position

This role is for a Customer Service Representative with a global industrial distribution company that partners with over 4,000 manufacturers. The company is a leading value-added distributor of innovative and reliable industrial products, committed to having the right part in stock and delivering it on time. The position involves providing expert assistance to customers, building ongoing business relationships through repeated contact and consultation, and quickly and efficiently providing the right parts and solutions, especially during equipment breakdowns. There is also an opportunity to utilize mechanical aptitude to solve customer problems. This role is seen as a great starting point for a career in sales or management, with a clear growth path within the company.

Requirements

6 months of customer service experience preferred
Excellent telephone, and written skills, including English grammar
Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required
Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required
Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor

Responsibilities

Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility
Use customer service skills and talents to clarify customer needs, do research, and recommend parts
Be focused and driven to meet/exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction
Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service
