About The Position

This role involves providing expert assistance to customers with a wide variety of questions and problems in an industrial distribution setting. Unlike typical CSR roles, this position focuses on building ongoing business relationships through repeated contact and consultation. The representative will be responsible for quickly and efficiently providing customers with the right parts and/or solutions, especially during equipment breakdowns. There will also be opportunities to utilize mechanical aptitude to solve customer problems or troublesome processes. This role is seen as a starting point for growth towards a sales or management career, with a clear growth path and success stories of internal advancement.

Requirements

6 months of customer service experience preferred
Excellent telephone, and written skills, including English grammar
Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required
Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required
Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
