About The Position

This is a remote-based, customer-facing position within STERIS's Instrument Management Services division. The role involves providing training and continuous improvement support to hospitals and surgical centers across the United States, with a specific focus on supporting customers in Arkansas. The specialist will work with local Account Managers to offer expertise, identify cost containment opportunities, provide education and training, track improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is a solutions-minded problem solver with clinical experience, strong presentation, organization, and time-management skills, and a clinical background in the operating room.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
4 years of related experience, ideally in a clinical environment, with a basic understanding of surgical instruments and medical devices
Excellent presentation skills
Must be based out of Arkansas to support and service customers in the assigned territory.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing Certification
Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing experience and training

Responsibilities

Train customers in the proper care and handling of surgical instruments and devices to reduce repair needs and ensure equipment is Procedure Ready.
Meet with customers to understand challenges and present solutions.
Recognize changes in instrument repair needs, identify possible root causes, and recommend STERIS services.
Proactively identify issues before problems occur, develop processes for improvement, and ensure implementation.
Lead Proactive Maintenance Inspections for equipment including Flexible Endoscopes and Surgical Devices.
Record maintenance services, daily cost savings, and potential barriers to implementation.
