About The Position

The Customer Relations Specialist is responsible for scheduling outpatient procedures throughout the Hospital. They act as liaisons and/or representatives for the Hospital by interacting with customers and physicians. This role is responsible for specific programs such as the Ellis Info line and EMG Call Center. The specialist supports all programs relating to marketing strategies and the enhancement of customer satisfaction and a positive hospital image. Responsibilities include receiving and processing calls into the customer/referral line, as well as making outbound calls to customers. They also receive and process EMG Call Center calls from physicians, physician offices, and patients through various hospital departments. The specialist will instruct offices and patients on proper blood work, preparations, directions, and instructions for various procedures. They ensure all online requests are handled within 24 hours of their appearance and schedule conference room requests. The role also requires completing required training and adhering to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt within a changing, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to professionally handle stressful situations.
  • Proficient with computers, software, telephones, and basic office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
