About The Position

As a Customer Portfolio Manager (CPM), you will be responsible for supporting a team of Account Directors to maximize retention, minimize churn risk, and drive growth inside Broadcom’s software book of business. You will actively engage with key decision-makers and cross-functional teams to uncover roadblocks to ensure on-time renewals while maintaining an accurate forecast. This is a quota-carrying position located in Broadcom's office in Plano, TX. CPMs are expected to be in the office every day. In this role, you'll help Broadcom by: Working with account owners to optimize license purchases based on current need and forecasted growth, rationalizing and consolidating software purchases where applicable and establishing appropriate contract term length Generating standard documents and quotes through the Oracle CPQ tool and providing guidance to account owners on structuring profitable, compliant deals & accelerating deal closures within Oracle system Exemplifying a “hands-on” approach to complex situations or escalations & collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve Ensuring required approvals are secured and documented for price discounts, contractual terms, payment terms and in line with published sales and business policies Managing end of quarter deal reviews with key stakeholders to efficiently handle end of quarter contracting Collaborating with business units, legal, systems testing, and bookings/finance to eliminate rework and produce comprehensive quotes Consistently contributing to team and assisting management on special ad-hoc projects as requested Evaluating current processes, offering recommendations and implementing solutions for areas of improvement to ensure revenue generating activities are prioritized Proactively reviewing datasets to ensure overall forecast hygiene Becoming an expert on Oracle CPQ quoting tools, reviewing and enforcing revenue recognition compliance for all quoting and serving as an escalation point to account owners and Managing Directors when questions arise Facilitating and/or assisting in training new and existing team members on system updates and changes Providing a holistic viewpoint in strategic account discussions bringing forward the varying aspects of our business (i.e. Product, Legal, and Finance)

Requirements

  • Strong project management/organizational skills with the ability to handle various tasks.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced, high volume renewal environment.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to apply to software renewals, rationalization and cost optimization strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor.
  • Prior experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Account Management or Sales.
  • Proficient in CRM software and CPQ quoting (Oracle ideally).
  • Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a relentlessly positive attitude.
  • 12+ years related experience in a technology-focused role required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant years' experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
