About The Position

The Customer Planning & Service Lead is responsible for developing collaborative solutions with the customer and key stakeholders through their understanding of supply chain, transportation, warehousing, project management and continuous improvement practices. This role will utilize reporting and analytics to identify opportunities & trends to improve service. This role is also expected to engage/mitigate customer risk during events that impact plant capacity or execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience and knowledge in Manufacturing, Packaging, and Customer Service / Supply Chain environment
  • Regular attendance

Responsibilities

  • Drive service improvements to enable ease of doing business with our customers through schedule optimization, order swaps, material substitutions.
  • Support strategic customer planning and execution that enables continuous improvement and sales growth (i.e. new business onboarding, large/strategic customer, low DIFOT, service concerns, and/or account turn around).
  • Deliver supply chain solutions to customer through robust, collaboratively managed (internal and external) project action plans which may include safety stocks, reorder points, VMI, business transfers, and/or order campaigns.
  • Prepare content and support business sessions and presentations with the Customer regarding service.
  • Build organizational knowledge of customer processes and service expectations through customer advocacy and plant visits.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities and trends (i.e. ensure KPIs like past term inventory, less than lead time, and customer on time complete are being met).
  • Understand customer inventory and service targets, support flawless execution of order management processes to ensure right sized inventory.
  • Engage to mitigate customer risk during events that impact plant capacity or execution by closely leveraging relationships at the plants and understanding current state of business.
