About The Position

This full-time role handles orders, inquiries, concerns, and requests about Purina products and services via phone, email, and fax. The role supports the Midwest Region, requiring the candidate to be located in MO, IA, MN, WI, or IL. The ideal candidate possesses a customer service mindset with high levels of empathy, poise, and professionalism, and enjoys interacting with people. A passion for animals is a bonus. The role requires a quiet, uninterrupted work environment and operates during business hours of 7:00 am - 4:30 pm CST.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 - 4 Years of comparable Customer Service experience
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to work any set schedule between the business hours of 7:00am – 4:30pm, CST
  • Must be located in MO, IA, MN, WI, or IL

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year degree in Business, Communications, Ag or other related field

Responsibilities

  • Managing a set of customers from time-of-order entry to invoicing.
  • Providing direction to cross-functional teams to meet customer fulfillment expectations, while ensuring company business processes are followed and appropriate cost and quality considerations are made.
  • Identifying problems proactively, determining root cause, and driving resolution of all issues related to the fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Owning individual decision making and coordinating collaborative decisions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicating, collaborating, and negotiating with internal and external customers and supply chain partners to manage service.
  • Developing and owning customer relationships in order to anticipate customer needs and proactively provide service.
  • Balancing the need for business practice adherence versus circumstantial exceptions.
  • Working within and across multiple systems and understanding how information inputs impact systems and business decisions.
  • Managing account management, account maintenance, logging calls, building notes and contacts, and recording and managing service requests within Salesforce.
  • Processing orders using order entry systems, JDE E1 and SAP.
