About The Position

Federal Express Corporation is seeking qualified applicants for Customer Logistics Manager I and Customer Logistics Manager II positions. Customer Logistics Manager II: Manages customer logistics solutions from development through implementation, collaborating with Solutions, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and customers to ensure optimized shipping networks. Balances analysis, customer engagement, and operational planning to deliver cost-effective and high-service solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience (or years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field (or years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 6 years of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical ability to develop business cases and present recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, or Plano, TX.
  • Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research and data collection to support logistical analysis.
  • Participate in customer site visits and implementation/project team meetings.
  • Support cross-functional teams by preparing basic cost and service impact summaries.
  • Help maintain and distribute weekly update reports.
  • Draft initial versions of customer communications and field instructions.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Provide basic customer support during peak and non-peak operations, including occasional weekend coverage.
  • Conduct detailed research and develop logistics solutions for customers.
  • Lead on-site visits, project meetings, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Perform cost/service impact analysis and develop detailed operating plans.
  • Manage and distribute major account update reports, presenting to leadership.
  • Develop processes for specialty commodities and communicate requirements to field management.
  • Lead approval process for implementations and special procedures.
  • Provide customer operational support, including during peak seasons.
