About The Position

Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2026 Customer Experience/UX (IT) Summer Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN! This internship is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in user experience and digital product design, with a foundational understanding of human-computer interaction and the UX design process. Over the course of the 11-week program, you will focus on customer- and user-centered design initiatives—supporting research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability efforts—while collaborating with designers, product managers, developers, and cross-functional partners. This internship offers the opportunity to develop hands-on UX skills, contribute to meaningful customer-facing and internal digital experiences, and gain insight into how thoughtful design drives innovation, usability, and consistency at the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Understanding of responsive web design and accessibility fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of user research methods such as interviews and usability testing

Responsibilities

• Assist with user research activities, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews, to help identify user needs and pain points.
• Create and maintain assets and prototypes.
• Support the UX design process from discovery through delivery, applying human-computer interaction principles and user-centered design best practices.
• Document design decisions, research findings, and usability insights to support team alignment and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional partners to translate user needs into effective design solutions.
• Participate in design critiques, reviews, and feedback sessions, incorporating input into iterative design improvements.
• Help maintain consistency across interfaces by adhering to established design systems, components, and accessibility standards.
• Assist in ensuring designs are responsive, accessible, and aligned with business and customer experience goals.
• Support ongoing UX initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of customer-facing and internal digital experience.
