Intern - UX/UI Web Developer (Summer 2026)
About The Position
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for an UX/UI Web Developer Intern to join our 2026 Summer Internship program to support the Information Technology department. Willkie is an elite international law firm with approximately 1,300 lawyers across 16 offices in six countries. The ideal candidate will be in the process of pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science or similar field. Candidates should be intellectually curious and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on IT experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be willing to work 35 hours weekly starting June 2026 through August 2026 for 10 weeks, with the possibility to extending into the academic year. Dates to be announced once finalized. In-office presence in the New York office may be required based on the department’s business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to work from June through August.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Proficiency in both Mac and Windows based platforms.
- Experience with JavaScript, Figma, Adobe CS, and responsive web design a plus.
- Experience with black box, end-to-end and various other types of testing methods.
- Experience with Asana or other tracking tool is highly preferred.
- Experience using UI Prototyping tools like Figma or Sketch is a big plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3,Grid, and Flexbox to create visually appealing and functional web experiences.
- Knowledgeable of concepts and practice of responsive web sites using Bootstrap, CSS3, media queries, HTML5.
- Use UI prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
- Willing to take direction and bring new and innovative ideas to the team.
