About The Position

Laura Canada, a privately owned fashion retailer based in Laval, Quebec, operates two iconic women’s fashion apparel brands, Laura and Melanie Lyne, with over 140 retail store locations across Canada. The company emphasizes innovation and optimizing both employee and client experiences. This role, as a Store Assistant Manager, is part of the management team and requires a passion for fashion and customer service. The Assistant Manager is responsible for recruiting and leading a team to deliver a unique and memorable shopping experience, fostering a vibrant, fun, energetic, and enjoyable store environment. The position also involves acting as a stylist, coaching the team on customer service, product knowledge, and trends, monitoring sales targets, and supporting the Store Manager in team management, merchandising, and daily operations like merchandise receiving, price changes, and order/transfer shipping.

Requirements

Contagious passion for fashion and customer service
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a store management, sales and customer service position
Demonstrate initiative on an on-going basis.
Strong team building skills

Responsibilities

Recruit and lead a winning team that provides a unique and memorable shopping experience to every customer.
Foster a vibrant, fun, energetic and enjoyable store environment.
Act as a stylist to build a personalized wardrobe to the customer.
Develop and coach a team on exemplary customer service, the promotion of different programs, product knowledge and current trends.
Monitor sales targets frequently and take the required actions to influence results.
Support the Store Manager in team management and merchandising to achieve sales goals.
Support daily operations such as receiving merchandise, changing prices, shipping orders/transfers and keeping the store clean.
