The Customer Experience Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of front-end department operations. In the absence of store management, this role may assume complete responsibility for total store operations. The position focuses on promoting excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of customer concerns, and driving continuous improvement within the department. Key responsibilities include enforcing cash handling procedures, adhering to company policies and regulations (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, tobacco/alcohol sales), overseeing bookkeeping, training associates on efficient checkout processes, managing schedules to meet business demands and labor goals, controlling supply costs, directing customer flow, ensuring adequate staffing at checkouts, monitoring breaks, overseeing lot attendant services, operating scanning equipment, assisting with phone calls, maintaining equipment functionality, communicating promotions, generating sales through suggestive selling, participating in daily huddles, maintaining knowledge of store promotions, overseeing safety and sanitation of the parking lot and checkout areas, and cooperating with co-workers and superiors. The role also involves potential duties such as baling cardboard, receiving and unloading deliveries, and utilizing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
