Customer Engineer III (Woolpert Inc, Dayton, OH): Understand customer pain points and advise on best practices to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments, such as GCP, AWS, Azure, and on-premises. Architect location-based service solutions for customer environments (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid). Collaborate with the Sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Engineering, and Engineering teams to ensure solution fit, feasibility, and profitability. Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to showcase the value of Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies. Create estimated Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return On Investment (ROI) calculations for customers. Create and deliver Statements of Work (SOWs). Employ Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies to address challenges for customers. Utilize current and future Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial licensing models to build and deploy production-grade solutions in a virtualized environment such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms. Stay informed about technology updates, licensing changes, and business trends that impact the firm’s go-to-market strategy by networking within Google and with key partners. Design, create, and update demos and sales collateral (e.g., reference architectures, SOW templates) to empower Sales and Customer Engineering teams to accelerate sales cycles. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Participate in projects involving Google Maps and Google Cloud Geospatial technologies. Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of experience building and deploying production-grade solutions in a virtualized environment such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms
  • Five (5) years of experience with Python, JavaScript, Google API’s, HTML, or CSS
  • Five (5) years of experience with Google Maps Platform
  • Five (5) years of experience with cloud integration as it relates to networking and identity management
  • Five (5) years of experience deploying or managing a cloud-based productivity suite
  • Five (5) years of experience managing internal or client-facing projects to completion.
