About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated technologists for the Financial Services Advanced Customer Engineering team. This team focuses on hands-on development to build initial solutions tailored to customer use cases and devices, helping them create early product iterations and explore new technical grounds. The role is for a Full-Stack Customer Engineer with a strong emphasis on building Agentic AI applications, multi-modal Generative AI applications, containerized cloud-native or serverless applications, and modern data & analytics applications. A preference for hands-on experience with AI-driven software development, generative AI technologies, and creating user-friendly interfaces is desired.

Requirements

• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 4+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, Go, or C/C++.
• 4+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using one or more IaC toolchain such as Terraform HCL, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree, or AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Proficient in the use of AI coding tools to improve quality and velocity.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
• Experience in building frontend UI using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, ReactJS, Angular, Vue or similar frontend frameworks
• Background in the financials services industry such as in banking, payments, capital markets, insurance is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead trusted relationships with AWS customers' enterprise architects, solution architects, software architects, and software engineers to understand the customer’s technology challenges; dive deep and understand stated, unstated business needs, and challenges.
• Working backwards from AWS customer's business needs, create end-to-end solutions, and prototypes addressing technology challenges but also increasing business impact, innovation and agility.
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Work with AWS customers to convey cloud computing security and risk management best practices.
• Work with other teams within AWS to drive customer success.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
• Assess security-related knowledge across AWS sales and solutions architecture teams and develop plans to address gaps.
• Advocate for and influence the AWS technology strategy for FSI internally and externally, at industry events, meet-ups, and summits.
• Develop technical content, such as white papers and reference architectures, that can be used by our customers to assist them in deploying secure cloud-based solutions.
• Work with industry groups to influence information security trends in cloud computing.
