About The Position

Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

  • Educational background in Engineering, Physics is desired.
  • Teamwork is essential so having a good balance between technical skills and people skills is a must.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, combined with a methodical approach, and clear communication.
  • Well-organized, strong follow-up abilities, demonstrated ability to work in a multifaceted environment.
  • Must also have training in semiconductor or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skill.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel (> 30%) within US.
  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; OR Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Having a background in IC processing/Semiconductor equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and lead product penetration and adoption support, customer demonstrations, and head-to-head (H2H) activities at customer facilities.
  • Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and provide inspection solutions.
  • Create & share product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups.
  • Train customers and other applications engineers.
  • Work on new product introductions and characterization, beta testing and early evaluation tools.
  • Generate best known method documents and other training materials and transfer this knowledge to KLA's worldwide Applications team and customers.
  • Work with customers to develop solutions to problems.
  • Publish papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals.
  • Characterize next generation state-of-the art semiconductor wafer inspection products.
  • Craft test plans, collect data, perform analysis, publish results and recommendations in the form of applications notes, best known methods.
