About The Position

As a Customer Data Steward, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and quality of customer data across Baxter's business systems. You will serve as a trusted resource for customer master data, ensuring records are accurate, compliant, and properly integrated to support operational excellence and customer success. By partnering with stakeholders across the organization, you'll help drive data governance initiatives, improve processes, and ensure reliable data is available for informed business decisions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data management, customer master data, data governance, or a related field.
  • Functional knowledge of data concepts, data governance principles, and data quality practices.
  • Ability to create and maintain data definitions and understand data flow processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and products.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Experience maintaining customer master data in a large, complex organization.

Responsibilities

  • Steward customer data across the organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness, integrity, and compliance with regulatory and governmental requirements.
  • Maintain and support data governance policies, procedures, and standards for customer master data.
  • Review, validate, and update customer records to ensure data is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
  • Manage customer data hierarchies to ensure records are linked and integrated across systems and applications.
  • Establish and maintain data standards and best practices to drive consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve data issues and support ongoing data management needs.
  • Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action to improve data accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • Support the adoption of new systems, processes, and tools related to customer data management.
