About The Position

This role involves a variety of clerical and customer service tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the sales center. Responsibilities include managing phone calls, responding to customer inquiries about orders and products, processing orders, and acting as a liaison between different departments.

Requirements

  • Ability to answer/screen/direct telephone calls.
  • Ability to resolve customer inquiries regarding orders and quotes.
  • Ability to respond to customer requests for order tracking, expediting, and product availability.
  • Proficiency in order entry.
  • Ability to notify customers of order-related issues.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between departments.
  • Ability to process necessary paperwork.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical work including answering, screening, and directing telephone calls to the appropriate person, and resolving calls related to orders and quotes.
  • Respond to customer requests for information regarding order tracking, order expediting, and product availability.
  • Enter orders at both the sales invoicing level and for product requests from supply plants.
  • Notify customers of potential backorders, credit issues, order availability, and any other relevant order information.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales center and plant departments, gathering necessary information and responding appropriately.
  • Process all necessary paperwork for the daily operation of the sales center as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
