About The Position

The Customer Care Pharmacy Specialist will be responsible for processing new patient registrations, introducing Larkin Outpatient Pharmacy Services, making outbound calls to patients, and addressing questions and concerns via telephone. This role also involves performing clerical functions to support quality pharmacy services, coordinating patient care with medical and pharmacy staff, and offering courteous, compassionate, and reliable services. The specialist will identify and communicate issues to the Pharmacy Supervisor, represent the organization positively, and maintain patient confidentiality. This position requires extended standing or walking and adherence to ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State Pharmacy Technician license (Florida) license required.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down the computer, use the mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
  • Job function requires extended standing or walking.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes new patient registration by entering data into the appropriate system.
  • Introduce Larkin Outpatient Pharmacy Services to patients as needed.
  • Makes outbound calls to patients as needed and addresses questions and/or concerns via telephone.
  • Performs clerical functions that support the provision of quality pharmacy services to patients.
  • Coordinate patient care with appropriate medical and pharmacy staff.
  • Offer courteous, compassionate, and reliable services to all patients.
  • Identifies and communicates issues to the Pharmacy Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Represents the organization positively and professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
