About The Position

The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain exceptional relationships with current and new customers and to facilitate communication between the customer and Fairhope Aero. The Customer Account Representative is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for customers, and serving as a liaison between internal teams and customers. This role involves monitoring customer accounts, proactively identifying opportunities for additional support, and interacting with technical staff to help customers solve complex problems effectively. Communication with customers occurs via email, phone, and in person. The representative will review and interpret customer orders, generate projects and provide accurate information to shop personnel, and create and manage sales orders and quotes in the Corridor ERP system. They will also provide customers with cost estimates, status reports, and technical information, and communicate effectively with other departments such as Production, Quality, and Logistics. Planning and coordinating the arrival and departure of customer goods is also a key responsibility. The role encourages continuous improvement through education, training, and professional development, utilizing technology to streamline work processes. Travel to meet customers and attend industry events is expected, as is conferring with supervisors to recommend departmental improvements. The position requires attendance at all safety and health training, working when scheduled, complying with attendance policies, and working overtime as required. Adherence to safety procedures and proper use of PPE is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft products and ERP systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn and be proficient in company-specific software.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and take initiative.
  • Ability to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, and rates and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally.
  • Ability to see within the normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of customer service / account management experience is required.
  • Ability to travel and obtain a valid passport is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an aviation business development / sales environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Business or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with customer accounts.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and serving as a liaison between internal teams and customers.

  • Generating projects and providing accurate information to shop personnel.
  • Creating and managing sales orders in Corridor, ERP system.
  • Monitoring and managing customer orders from inception to completion.
  • Generating quotes and estimates in Corridor, ERP system, for projects and sales orders.
  • Providing customers with accurate cost estimates, status reports, and technical information as required.
  • Communicating with members of other departments including Production, Quality, Logistics, and others as required.
  • Planning and coordinating the arrival and departure of customer’s goods.
  • Actively engaging with continuous improvement education and training and professional/personal development in alignment and uses technology to find ways to streamline and improve work processes.
  • Traveling to meet with new and current customers and to attend industry events.
  • Confers with the supervisor to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, methods, and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and promote improvement.
  • Attending all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
  • Working when scheduled and complying with company attendance policy.
  • Working overtime as required.
  • Observing and practicing all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. Safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
