Custom Technical Training Intern - Teen Tech Center
About The Position
As a Custom Technical Training Intern, you will support programs that equip Geek Squad’s Custom Services technicians with knowledge needed to perform onsite services. This role will provide insights into the design, deployment, and administration of training programs detailing the installation of home theater, networking, home automation, and other consumer electronics categories. You’ll gain visibility to how self-paced and instructor-led technical training is created, as well as the partnerships used to bring these to life. This internship will also give you the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees and explore a wide variety of career paths. This internship runs from June to August 2026. This role is on site, which means you would be required to work on site at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You’ll be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be participating in Best Buy Teen Tech Center Career Pathways program
- Must be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between the hours of 8:00am-4pm
- Must be able to commit to internship start and end date of 6/15/2026 - 8/7/2026
- Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423
Nice To Haves
- Familiar with basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Teams functions
- Experience with creating or editing written and/or recorded content
- Able to focus on tasks and deadlines without constant supervision
- Comfortable asking for guidance or feedback as needed
Responsibilities
- Review training content and provide feedback on its accuracy, relevance, and clarity
- Participate in scoping sessions for the selection and creation of new training content
- Support and observe online instructor-led training events
- Leverage online resources and employees for subject matter insights as needed
- Attend meetings and working sessions with various partners
