About The Position

As a Social Impact Intern – Giving, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how a major company partners with organizations across the country to support meaningful, community-driven work. You’ll work closely with the team behind the Best Buy Teen Tech Center® program and other Best Buy Foundation initiatives, learning how corporate social responsibility functions day to day. Over the summer, you’ll learn how funding decisions are made – and have a voice in the process. You’ll help shape new investments and partnerships focused on youth economic mobility by contributing ideas, sharing feedback, and conducting research. Along the way, you’ll learn how strong partnerships are built and how programs grow and adapt over time. This internship will also give you the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees and explore a wide variety of career paths. This internship runs from June to August 2026. This role is on site, which means you would be required to work on site at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You’ll be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Must be participating in Best Buy Teen Tech Center Career Pathways program
  • Must be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (and the occasional Monday or Friday) between the hours of 8:00am-5pm
  • Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/24/2026 - 8/9/2026
  • Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423

Responsibilities

  • Assist with program research that inform team learning and decision‑making.
  • Assist with projects related to understanding youth pathways and career readiness outcomes.
  • Help organize team resources and documentation, support knowledge management efforts including process mapping, and identify opportunities to improve how information is captured, stored, and shared across the team.
  • Support activities during Best Buy Foundation's Charity Classic annual fundraising event.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like data entry, creating Powerpoint slides and other written and visual materials.
  • Schedule and attend meetings alongside Social Impact team members with nonprofit partners and other corporations.
