Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience building and maintaining applications with focus on performance, observability, scalability, security, and reliability.
Minimum 5+ years experience overseeing enterprise grade platform solutions.
Bachelor’s Degree

Nice To Haves

Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Mule, web Services, Kafka, SQL & PL/SQL (Oracle)
Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and Microservice implementations at scale.
Significant expertise in cloud-native deployment using OpenShift, Kubernetes or any one the container platform.
Experience using leading app servers and integration technologies like Mule ESB, Any point Platform, MQ, Kafka.
Experience in Splunk, Dynatrace or AppDynamics (APM tools).
Proven ability to leverage knowledge of infrastructure automation, DevOps, cloud technologies and platform architecture to build resilient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Experience implementing best practices, optimizing performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing leadership to the engineering team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to delve in low level details with a technical audience and explain concepts at a high level to a non-technical audience

Responsibilities

Establishing and maintaining partnerships with Application Development and Production.
Ensuring the appropriate instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, alerting and on call routines are in place for key services.
Decomposing issues or objectives into units of work that can be assigned to other team members.
Supporting production environments, and associated maintenance, change, control, incident and problem management.
Identifying opportunities for platform improvements.
Designing and developing significant components within an application.
Designing architecture and driving optimal solutions using established design patterns and principles.
Ensuring design reviews, code reviews and compliance with bank standards for information security and infrastructure standards.
Performing or supporting continuous integration and deployment activities with understanding of DevOps and observability.
Leading adoption of emerging technologies for On-prem, Cloud, and Hybrid architectures.
Providing technical guidance for platform engineers and collaborating with solution architects to ensure consistent design across platform components.
Serving as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource able to coordinate dependencies across platform teams and teams working on business capabilities.
Facilitating collaboration within and across teams.
Making recommendations and ensuring platform easily supports NFRs across multiple LOB initiatives and anticipated growth over 5 years.
Identifying more complex problems that cross several infrastructure domains and gathering data and insights from others.
Assessing issues identified by others and updating the mental model of software and infrastructure services.
