Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cabinet installation, carpentry, or residential construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory/management role
  • Strong working knowledge of custom cabinetry installation, finish work, and fit/tolerance standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews and job sites simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience managing subcontractor relationships and holding vendors accountable to quality/schedule
  • Proficiency with scheduling and job-tracking software (or willingness to learn company systems)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for jobsite travel
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly for punch list documentation
  • Ability to visit multiple jobsites daily, including new construction and remodel environments
  • Ability to lift/move materials as needed during site visits (up to 50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in varying site conditions (indoor/outdoor, construction environments)

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate all in-house and subcontractor installation crews across active job sites
  • Ensure installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits/inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and safety compliance
  • Resolve on-site technical or fit issues in real time, coordinating with design/production as needed
  • Manage tool, material, and equipment logistics to keep crews productive and on schedule
  • Responsible for the service and touch-up team members, and punch list completion
  • Full ownership of the install training program – from content to installer participation and graduation
  • Owns install profitability targets and Time to Close Improvements
  • Directly supervise, train, and develop in-house installers, finishers, and warranty service
  • Set daily/weekly crew assignments and hold team accountable to production schedules and installation completion rates
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and address performance issues
  • Ensure Installers are properly receiving ongoing training on the “One Tharp Way” along with Customer Service Training
  • Vet, onboard, and manage relationships with subcontractor crews; ensure they meet Tharp's quality and professionalism standards
  • Serve as the primary escalation point of contact for customers during the installation phase
  • Provide clear, proactive updates on schedule, timelines, and any changes
  • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with customers to confirm satisfaction and obtain sign-off
  • Proactively work hand-in-hand with Project Management, Project Coordinators and Sales
  • Document and track all punch list items accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assign punch work to appropriate crews/technicians and monitor completion timelines
  • Maintain organized records of job status, punch items, and completion documentation in company systems
  • Report installation KPIs (schedule adherence, punch list turnaround, customer satisfaction) to ownership/management
